We are very pleased to have Yvette join us again from NSW to

share her knowledge and experience of Mountmellick.

are simple yet elegant. We are sure you will appreciate

her beautiful work and enjoy her class.  

    Students will learn a range of stitches used in Mountmellick embroidery, including cable plait stitch, Mountmellick stitch, cable chain stitch, bullions, french knots, feather stitch, buttonhole stitch, padded satin stitch (and more!).

The design features blackberries and dogroses, and can be made up as a cushion as shown here, or made as a square doily. The cushion and the doily each feature the characteristic knitted fringe.

There will be a demonstration of how to make the unique knitted fringe that is used on Mountmellick embroidery.
